Whilst at Art School, John quickly realised that he was better at photographing people than he was drawing them (but he was not bad with plants).

So off to Blackpool and Fylde College to study photography. From there he graduated to the usual assisting, painting sets and making coffee but quickly he started to shoot his own projects and began working with a film company on photo animation. This lead on to lighting live action and to a parallel career of stills and DOP work.

Recently utilising his practical skills and passion for his work, he has renovated derelict farm buildings into a purpose built studio and lodge style barn conversion creating his ideal working environment.
