Staffordshire Knight

We are the owners of the car and founder of Staffordshire Knight. With the help of friends we have worked many hours, days and nights over a 2 year period restoring and converting the car to the condition it is in today. I have owned my KITT replica since November 2010 and have sole use of it, therefore hiring from us means that you always get the best value and reliability for your event.

KITT is available for all types of corporate events & promotional work as well as private hire such as weddings and birthdays.

About the car

My KITT replica is based on a 1982 Pontiac Trans-Am. It has been fully converted into a KITT since it was purchased in 2010.

Inside there is the breath taking, fully functional Knight Rider TV dash board which includes an 8" touch screen monitor which is connected to an on board PC. It has the original PMD seats fitted and is true in every way to the show with the tan interior and Gullwing steering wheel. The car is absolutely stunning and of course the outside includes the very recognisable red "scanner" light.

Every effort has been made to keep this car as true to the TV car as possible, as a result it even talks!! Random phrases are produced from a speaker under the car. The on board computer will soon have voice recognition so that the driver can have an interactive conversation with KITT through the comlink watch exactly like in the TV series.

The car has been used for many press events, the most recent being the opening night of Peter Pan at the Manchester Opera House when David requested a KITT replica for him to drive to the red carpet to greet the awaiting press and paparazzi.
