More about St Mark's Community Centre

We are the home for a number of voluntary, private and public sector organisations that deliver vital services to the residents of Beckton and the surrounding area.

St Marks also have offices for rent and also various rooms for hire at very competitive rates. These rooms range from a board room holding around 12 people right up to Halls that hold up to 100 people and are ideal for conferences, training days, AGM's, local community meetings or even social events. We also offer discounts and flat day rates to charities and other voluntary sectors organisations.
These are some of the voluntary, private and public sector organisations that deliver vital services to the residents of Beckton and the surrounding area:

Newham Action Against Domestic Violence (NAADV). NAADV is a free service which supports adults and children to leave abusive relationships. It has been working in the London Borough of Newham for nearly 20 years, with a team of experienced Caseworkers, Independent Domestic Violence Advisers and Counselors.

Newham Foodbank who are based at St Mark's Community Centre help people who are in crisis with a three days supply of emergency food and also offer advice on organisations who can help them address the underlying problem(s). The foodbank relies heavily on food donations from the public and also people who can spare a few hours volunteering. If you would like to help in some way please call 0207 474 3060.

The Forum for Health and Wellbeing. The main aim of the forum is to improve the health and wellbeing of primarily black and ethnic minority individuals and communities through the delivery of effective challenge and solutions, thus enabling the statutory, voluntary and community sectors to create accessible, user defined services and ways of working.
