St John Cymru-Wales, West Glamorgan County

St John Cymru-Wales provides first aid training, event first aid cover and youth and adult volunteering opportunities.

West Glamorgan County is a collection of 12 divisions of volunteers overseen by a team of volunteer county staff and a County Commissioner.

Our trained volunteers are regularly on duty at the many public events that take place across the Swansea Bay region from the Liberty Stadium to the Wales National Airshow as well as many smaller local events, fetes and carnivals which take place in our communities.

Each of our divisions provide a weekly training programme to enable volunteers to progress at their own pace through several levels of first aid qualification. The divisions are managed by a volunteer Officer in Charge, who is assisted by a small team of members who may take on administrative and training roles. Some divisions also run an exciting and fun youth training programme for Badgers (5-10) and Cadets (10-17).
