St. Hugh’s Residents’ Association was formed in 1975 by Hilda Lane. In the early 1980’s the prefabricated hall was donated to us by Bromley Council. Hilda died in 1989 and the hall was renamed “The Hilda Lane Community Centre” in her memory. With the subsequent deterioration of the building, we looked for funding to rebuild the Centre. In 2007, the Community Association became a registered charity to prepare for the new Centre. We have worked in partnership with Affinity Sutton Homes Ltd. to build and develop the new Centre which has a community hall, meeting / training room, office and disabled facilities. The Centre is owned and managed by its members and volunteers and doesn’t employ any paid staff. We rely on volunteer support to assist with the management,
maintenance and fundraising, as well as to deliver activities from the hall. If you think you can help please contact us
