Something Special Bilingual Childcare in Croydon

Dear parents/carers

I am born ,bred and educated in Poland. Happily married and a mum for two wonderful boys .

In 2002 I have gained Master’s Degree in Education after five years of studying Pedagogy and Psychology at University in Poland.

We arrived in London in 2005 and loved it here ever since!
My younger son was born soon after in 2006 –we were so happy to have a little brother for our older son who now is getting his A levels and is doing so well, all so proud!

In 2008 I completed my first training in childcare in London –NVQ2 in Pre-school Practice and a year later got my first job in a nursery in Streatham at Cavendish Lodge nursery school as a room leader for baby room(children under two).I worked there for almost two years .It was a great learning opportunity and valuable experience.
In 2010 I stared my new journey , and loved every minute of it (thanks to Cathy Balogun my manager!) at Stepping Stones Pre-school with children from two to five years old.I stayed with them for two years.Again tones of experience !

In a meantime I completed NVQ4 Working with Families and Children –social care(wanted to be a social worker for a while…)I worked for Home Start with vulnerable families in Croydon as a volunteer for a bit.

For another two years I worked as a nanny for a wonderful family of two children .
In September 2014 I decided to become a self-employed childminder and started a long process of preparation….
After almost nine long months I finally am registered with Ofsted childminder
and so happy to offer parents and their children the best possible childcare service where children are safe,happy and well looked after.

In April 2015 I became an Early Years Provider in Croydon which means that the funding is available for three year old children and some two year old children who attend my setting.


My setting is open for all the children who are at least 6 months and before their fifth birthday.

I am the only carer in my setting hence I will only care up to three children at a time depending on their age and abilities.This will give me greater opportunities to concentrate on your child’s needs, learning and development.

In my setting all children will have plenty opportunities to play indoors and outdoors with the wide range of toys and equipment that I carefully collected to aid your child learning through play.

I have also two pets a dog called Max and a rabbit called Bella.
The dog usually is not involved in our daily play but children can see him and say hello .The rabbit is in her outdoor cage at all times and children will have opportunities to give Bella food and watch her eating .I believe children learn a great deal from animals especially skills such as caring and being gentle can be developed through an early contact with a pet.I listen to parents and respect their views and ways they bring their children and my responsibility is to assist and make their children to feel safe and happy and grow in confidence and independence
