SOF Skool Of Funk Dance Company

Skool of Funk is a resident dance company based in Witham that offer immersive Street Dance classes and Drama to primary/ secondary schools for key stages 1, 2, 3 and 4. Our dance classes can be counted towards Activemark, Sportsmark and Sports Partnership Mark awards for your school.

We are currently established in many primary/ secondary schools and colleges in Witham and the surrounding area in which we offer students an outlet for self-expression and creativity whilst learning new skills, building confidence and having fun.

Skool of Funk teaches a wide variety of dance at a very high standard including: Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Break Dance, Popping, Locking, Rock and Roll, modern, House, Jazz and many more! Many dance schools/classes in the local area do not offer all of these. Our unique approach coaxes children, teens and adults from their shells and into the spotlight, or as one parent put it, ‘Skool of Funk makes shy kids shine!’ Our group activities can play a big part in helping children find their feet, both socially and creatively, and provide a boost to self-esteem and confidence.

Our instructors have been teaching dance and drama for at least 10 years and have experience in TV, West End, festivals, National competitions and much more.

We also work and have lots of experience with children with special needs and disabilities and have trained with Candoco Dance company- a professional dance company that integrates able and disabled dancers.

All of our tutors are CRB checked and have public liability insurance.
