Small Steps to Music

Dalcroze Eurhythmics music classes for children between the ages of 2 and 5 in North Yorkshire.
The Dalcroze approach is an excellent way of introducing young children to music. Whole body movement, songs and listening games are combined to develop a natural feeling for, and a love of, music.
In addition to the musical benefits, Eurhythmics can help children to build confidence, develop co-ordination and spatial awareness, and interact well with others.
Classes are taught by Helen Dawson. Helen trained in Dalcroze Eurhythmics at the Royal Northern College of Music. She has taught classes in London schools, and as a deputy teacher at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Trinity College junior deparments before moving to Yorkshire a few years ago.
