My name is Kim, I’m from North-East England and I have been piercing professionally since 2003. I'm currently working in a fantastic tattoo studio in the centre of Middlesbrough – Skins & Needles.

I, and the studio I work from, are fully licensed and registered with the local council for all the work we carry out. We pride ourselves in our strict compliance with all health and safety regulations and are proud to exceed all minimum requirements set by the council. I am experienced in all piercing procedures, from ear lobes, noses and basic body piercing to more unusual piercings such as genital piercing, surface piercing, skin divers & microdermals. I also do a lot of custom work (play piercing, surface weaving & corsetry) and other body modification procedures such as branding, scarification, earlobe reconstruction, tongue splitting, subdermal implants, NFG tagging and magnetic implants. I only use single-use fully sterilized needles/scalpels/dermal punches and high quality implant grade titanium body jewellery for all my work. I will not pierce with any jewellery bought elsewhere, and will never use ‘piercing guns’ or butterfly back studs. Where possible, all my equipment is single-use and disposable. Where this is not possible, the equipment is sterilized in a vacuum autoclave in a sterilization pouch between each use. Please ask if you would like to see any of my sterilizing equipment.

I am constantly looking to expand my portfolio of custom work. If you have an idea or project you think I may be able to help with, get in touch. I am happy to help out with photo shoots, etc. If you provide me with high quality photos of any custom work I do with you, I'll work at heavily reduced rates, usually just enough to cover materials. I have worked with several photographers in the past that will be happy to give any references.

AVAILABILITY
My usual hours are 11am-6pm Monday-Saturday. Piercings are available on a walk-in basis (no appointment needed) – just call into the studio. Body modification work requires a face to face consultation, and then an appointment. PRIVACY & CONFIDENTIALITY
All piercings and other body modification procedures are treated in the strictest confidence. I work in an enclosed room for complete privacy and safety. Piercing is not a spectator sport, so no one is allowed into the piercing area with you (with the exception of genital piercings, where I will allow a chaperone - a friend or partner - in with you).

CONSULTATIONS
I am happy to give free and confidential consultations upon request (for any and all piercings, and I insist on a face-to-face consultation for custom piercing work and all body modification work). These consultations consist of a walk-through of the procedure, you can see the equipment that will be used on request and I'll talk you through jewellery options (for the initial piercing and for once the piercing has healed). Aftercare is also discussed and I can recommend certain products to you as well. This is a good opportunity to ask questions that you may forget about on the day of getting the procedure done.

BODY JEWELLERY
I stock a huge range of body jewellery – photos are available in my photos section – which is available for purchase in the studio. I am happy to order body jewellery in any size/colour/style you would like, even if it isn’t part of my regular stock, just ask. I order once a month at the beginning of each month. I will fit any jewellery bought from me free of charge (£5 extra charge for stretching piercings – ages 18+). I also stock a range of merchandise – T-Shirts, Prints, Tote Bags, etc. and Gift Vouchers. I am the only piercer in the area stocking all the following premium body jewellery brands, as well as a huge range of basic stock - Anatometal, Industrial Strength, Omerica Organic, Flaming Bones, Diablo Organics & Gorilla Glass. DIRECTIONS (See Photos For Map)
From the main shopping street in Middlesbrough, head away from the train station. Walk past McDonalds, continuing away from the town centre, and straight down this road (Linthorpe Road). The studio is just past Pizza Hut, over the road from Psyche department store, next door to ‘Beauty World’.

PARKING & PUBLIC TRANSPORT
There is Pay & Display car parking on the street outside for up to 2 hours, but there are several Pay & Display car parks in Middlesbrough, which are signposted, all within walking distance of the studio, the closest is Captain Cook Square. Bus & train stations are both walking distance from the studio.

AGE RESTRICTIONS
For general body piercing, you must to be 16 years of age or over. I will ask for photo ID if you look under 18.
For genital or nipple piercing (male or female), cheek/dahlia piercing and other body modification work, you must be 18 years of age or over. I will ask for photo ID if you look under 21.
Acceptable forms of ID are: UK Passport, UK Drivers Licence (or Provisional) or a CitizenCard (www.citizencard.com). I cannot accept photocopies or birth certificates.
No one who is pregnant/breastfeeding or under the influence of drugs/alcohol will be pierced. I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone due to medical or ethical reasons.
