An increasing number of people would like their choice of funeral service to express the unique lives they have led, and reflect their individual beliefs. As a Civil Celebrant, I am able to create an individual service that is both meaningful and memorable, in close consultation with the family.

Many people these days are not religious and do not go to church, however, they do have their own spirituality and values which they would like reflected in their final farewell.

Civil funeral ceremonies can provide this link, focusing on the life of the person who has died, as well as the wishes of those they love and leave behind.

Civil ceremonies can be held either at a crematorium or non-religious burial ground, including natural or woodland burial sites.

After visiting your home, or suitable meeting place, I will write the service including a personal tribute to your loved one. You will be provided with a copy before the day of the funeral, to ensure that you are happy with the wording and that all of the details are correct. You will also be given a copy to keep after the ceremony as a keepsake. I will then officiate at the funeral on the day.

Your loved one’s favourite readings, poetry and music can be incorporated into the service along with anything family or friends may wish to contribute.

I liaise closely with your Funeral Director and staff at the burial ground or crematorium to ensure a memorable, poignant and cherished ceremony for family and friends.
