Shillingfords has been officially voted the best Chippy Chips 2014 in the Welsh region. Shillingfords also came in second in the national vote, for the second year running.
With over 20 years experience in the fish and chip trade, Allan and Kirsty Shillingford take great pride in the tradition of the fish and chip shop but like to offer their customers a more modern and relaxed atmosphere. Quality, price and cleanliness are the words you will hear when you dine at Shillingfords.
We are far pickier about what and where we eat these days, and intelligent fryers realise that the chippy must adapt. Shillingfords have done just that. The menu was developed with traditional meals in mind but offering healthy options too. You will find all of the firm favourites available and fish and chips are still the best seller, however the salad options are proving very popular. A full breakfast menu is available until 4pm with Allan’s famous “Bomber” at the top of a lot of peoples list. You will also find traditional Welsh food on the menu with options such as Welsh Faggots and Lamb Cawl.
If you talk to any of the staff at Shillingfords, you will notice that they are very happy in their work and proud to serve the quality food at very competitive prices. It’s all about being honest and open; you won’t find any hidden charges.
The sourcing of ingredients is also of utmost importance to Allan and you can see that the quality of the produce is of the highest standard when you sit down to eat at Shillingfords.
Shillingfords Victoria Gardens will cater for Children’s parties, Coach parties and can provide options from the sandwich menu to cater for those larger meetings or gatherings you may have.
In the Victoria Gardens shop Shillingfords have also created a Coffee Shop on the first floor of the restaurant in where you can sit, relax and enjoy the lovely view of the Gardens opposite.
When you visit any of the three Shillingfords shops in or around the Neath area you will find the same takeaway menu, the same prices and the same friendly welcome.
All three of the Shillingfords shops have a food hygiene rating of 5 which means the premises and processes are to the highest level available from the food standards agency.
