Welcome to Sherwood Bed and Breakfast in Doonfoot, Ayr. Situated on the beautiful west coast of Scotland in the heart of Burns country. Sherwood offers guests excellent facilities and warm hospitality.

Our family run bed and breakfast is situated 2 miles south of Ayr town centre. The house is perfectly located opposite Belleisle Country Park, ideal for beautiful walks or a game of golf.The prestigious wedding venue “Brig O Doon Hotel “ is a 2 minute journey from Sherwood. We are situated within a stones throw of Ayr Beach and are surrounded by lovely places to eat and drink which offer a variety of fresh local produce.

The historical village of Alloway which is home to Robert Burns Cottage and the Burns Heritage Centre is within close proximity to Sherwood.

We are fortunate within Ayrshire to have many golf courses near by. These include : Belleisle, Prestwick and Troon. A 20 minute journey along the beautiful, rugged coast will take you to the world famous golf courses and hotel in Turnberry. While there you can also visit the National Trust owned location of Culzean Castle.
