The School of Divinity is part of the University of Edinburgh, one of the world’s leading universities, ranked 11th in the world for the arts and humanities (Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2012 – 2013).

We offer a broad range of study opportunities, including six undergraduate degrees and a variety of combined studies options, seven postgraduate taught masters degrees and three types of research degree.

Our students can study courses across a number of different faiths, including Christian, Jewish, Islamic, Buddhist and Hindu traditions.

The School houses three research centres: the Centre for the Study of World Christianity; the Centre for the Study of Christian Origins; and the Centre for Theology and Public Issues.

Our research library is one of the largest specialist libraries for theology and religious studies in the UK, with over a quarter of a million items, rich special collections of rare books and many online resources.

The School comprises 40 academic staff, some 300 undergraduate students and around 160 graduate students from all over the world
