Scallywags Pet Services is a professional dog walking and pet sitting service covering Norden (Rochdale), Bamford and surrounding areas. Whether you work long hours and worry about your dog home alone; you are temporarily unable to exercise your pet or you are planning a holiday, then we can help you. We can offer a tailored service to suit yours and your pets’ needs, the list of services can be found on the menu bar above along with the rates, but if there is a service which you require which isn’t listed then please do not hesitate to get in touch, we would be more than happy to have a chat!

So, why should you choose Scallywags Pet services to care for your pets, what makes us different? Well, we are fully insured and CRB checked to give you peace of mind. We are trained in pet first aid for your pets safety. We are both up to date with modern dog training techniques and use only positive reinforcement and kind, ethical methods. Though we may not be intentionally “training” your dog your dog is continuously learning from everyone around him or her, that includes your dog walker. Therefore we feel it is incredibly important that we use scientifically proven methods and never punishment, this will give your dog confidence in us and help them to enjoy their walks, feeling safe in our care! Also we both have a fascination in dog behaviour and body language, by being able to read dogs language we can recognize when they’re feeling anxious or stressed and can take action to calm them. We can also read unknown dogs who may approach on walks, we can assess what their intentions are towards your dog, whether they are being polite in dog terms or if they need to be avoided.

Your pets’ happiness is our priority and we will ensure that whether we are walking your dog, visiting your pet at home or home boarding, they will get the most out of their time with us and be in safe hands.

Every new client will receive a free consultation where we will come to your home to meet you and your pets to discuss their needs and requirements as well as their likes and dislikes! There will be a few forms to complete and all of our insurance certificates, etc. will be available for you to check. Your keys will be stored securely and will be labelled with a unique reference number and never your name or address, to protect your property.
