Sandy Village Hall has been a community facility for Sandy and its surrounding villages for over 30 years.
Building started on the Village Hall in 1979 and it was finally opened in 1981. It was the first of its kind in Sandy offering meeting rooms, changing facilities and a hall that could be hired for social events, all at one address.
It was a Sandy Town Council initiative with support from local sports clubs because of the need for dressing rooms. The project was funded by Sandy Town Council, grants from other sources and the inhabitants of Sandy.
Thirty years on Sandy Village Hall has been extended and refurbished several times to keep up with the fast expansion of Sandy's population. It was built for the then community of Sandy and it is STILL a community building, serving the people of Sandy daily.
