Cuba is an amazing place. Untouched by American influences it remains unique, vibrant and awash with music, culture, dancing and cocktails.

This is a chance to experience the real Havana. To eat and dance and drink with local people.
Steeped in history Cuba really is a special place to visit. A city full of people who cannot wait to share their Havana.

Cuba is the home of Salsa and we offer dance lessons daily as part of your holiday. If you don’t want to learn to dance or improve your dancing that is fine. You are free to do whatever you like.

This is your holiday and you are welcome to do as little or as much as you wish. Either way, we are certain you will be charmed by Cuba and the rhythms, sounds and tastes of Havana will stay with you forever.

WHERE YOU WILL STAY
You will be staying in the famous Hotel Inglaterra, right in the centre of old Havana. The hotel has 4 star accommodation and is a grand colonial style old hotel. The front terrace at pavement level has plenty of seating and there is a live band to entertain you during the daytime.

The roof top terrace boasts a wonderful dance floor as well as a bar and stunning views of the Havana city and a close up of the famous Gran Teatro de la Habana, which is next-door, home of the famous Cuban National Ballet. The hotel is walking distance to all the places of interest in Havana including famous cocktail bars and live music venues. Our private dance studio is just a 400-metre walk from the hotel.

WHATS NOT INCLUDED
• Departure Tax, this can only be paid in CUC at the Airport on departure and costs $25CUC (£15) per person.
• Club entrance fees. Some places we visit will be free entry however entrance fees will vary from $3 – $15 CUC (£1.80 – £10) depending on which live bands are playing. Entrance sometimes includes a free drink or two!

YOUR SALSA WORKSHOPS
Our specialist teachers are some of the best dancers in Havana, they will take you through all aspects of:

Our dancers are highly trained many of whom perform regularly on stage with the well know Cuban artists, they each specialise in different areas of Cuban Salsa and will enrich you with their wealth of knowledge and expertise. Your dancing will never be the same again!
Levels: This holiday is aimed at men and women with Cuban Salsa experience levels from ‘none at all’ to ‘some experience’ to ‘really
really good’. We will assess your level and set a workshop to suit you. All workshops will be in small groups with ‘one to one’ professional
tutors. Additional private workshops are available on request but will be charged as an extra cost.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT CUBA
When you arrive at Havana airport be prepared for a long wait. The process through passport control and then luggage claim is a long one. You will get used to things being done in ‘Cuba time’. It is just the way it is. It may be worth making sure you have a bottle of water with you
for this process. The whole experience takes around 1 hour 30 mins.
You will be met at the arrivals gate and escorted to your transfer coach. Havana is a safe city but if you are walking around at night please make sure you are in pairs or a group.
Cubans are very friendly and love to hear about life in UK. You will be asked a lot where you are from. We will have a Spanish speaking team member who will be happy to speak to taxi drivers before you embark on any journey that is not pre-planned by ourselves. Other tours can be arranged for areas outside Havana. Cuba is a beautiful country with a rich history so please ask about excursions when you arrive.
Cuba has two currencies, the CUP, which is the local pesos and the CUC, which we use. This is an international currency. You will not be able to change currency outside Cuba but the hotel
offer the same rate as the banks although the rate can change slightly on a day-to-day basis.
They will change GB Pounds or Euros. They will not exchange US Dollars.

AN AVERAGE DAY
No day in Havana is average. However, should be you wish to be included in Salsa workshops
these take place each morning at our private dance studio. Times will be confirmed once we establish the level of each group.
You will have afternoons free to roam around the city. We offer a walking tour on two of the days during your stay.
Tours at the rum and cigar museums can be booked to suit your preferred times.
Fishing trips can be an all day event and will be booked to suit your preferred day. We recommend either the 4-hour or 7 hour trips.
We have arranged a classic car tour for the whole group one afternoon. It really is great fun to go out in a noisy classic car convoy! This is a two-hour trip and is an amazing way to see
Havana, the coastline and former business and merchants areas of the city.
Each evening we have a venue arranged, this will be confirmed each morning according to where the best live bands are playing. Your holiday fee includes taxi transfer to the events but you will need to pay the small entrance fee.
We organise a group meal at a local Paladar early on in your stay. A Paladar is a house, which opens it’s doors as a restaurant and
offers the best of Cuban food. All within walking distance of the hotel.
One night we enjoy a dancing session on the roof top terrace of our own hotel. Salsa the night away to a live band under a Caribbean night sky. Sitting and watching or dancing all night long is totally acceptable.

FLIGHTS
You will be flying direct to Havana’s José Martí International Airport with Virgin Atlantic departing at London Gatwick. Virgin provides a non-stop flight and offers a wide choice of on-board entertainment including the latest films, documentaries, music etc. Food and drinks are also included. Please advise if you have any
dietary requirement when you book your holiday. Flight time is approximately 9 hours.

The minimum age for this trip is 21.
Numbers for this trip are limited and a place can only be secured with a deposit.
