More about Salisbury Camping and Caravanning Club Site

Pitch up at our Salisbury Club campsite and you’re ideally situated to visit some of Wiltshire’s best known attractions. Described as the city in the countryside, Salisbury is just a mile-and-a half riverside walk away. Justly famous for its cathedral, home to the famous Magna Carta, and its Close, this bustling market town also boasts attractive timbered buildings, a thriving market, popular Salisbury racecourse, museums and some of England’s finest historic houses.

Our campsite, at Hudson’s Fields great for kite-flying and walking – enjoys fantastic views over the hill fort of Old Sarum, which includes the remains of a pre-historic fortress, a Norman palace, a castle and a cathedral. The 150-pitch site is sloping and is split into two fields divided by hedging. It’s spacious and well laid out with good on site facilities and enjoys a truly rural feel.

The area is also well-known for the ancient monument at Stonehenge. Avebury, 19 miles to the north is another less crowded prehistoric site. Old Wardour Castle is also worth a visit.

Take a tour of Wilton House west of Salisbury, set in eight hectares of grounds. Longleat, Beaulieu and the National Motor Museum and popular theme park Paultons are a great family days out from the campsite.
