Safehands Nursery at Kendal

Our nursery is a welcoming, friendly environment where children are well-cared for in surroundings in which they are encouraged to learn and explore through a ‘hands-on’ play-based environment.

Our staff are highly qualified and continuously renew their in-house training on a rolling programme. Children at our nursery make good progress in their learning and development. We provide a home from home nursery with a family feel. Home-made meals are cooked on the premises every day. We pride ourselves on promoting healthy eating and encourage children to share mealtimes with their friends- making them a social and learning experience.

The outdoors is an integral part of our nursery life. Children use our large outdoor area to ride, climb, build, draw, share stories as well as investigate the natural world. We plan regular daily activities for the children to share, based on their own individual interests. Children are very much valued as individuals at our nursery and we warmly welcome all children in celebration of diversity.

All our staff are involved in the care of every child, however your family will be allocated a ‘key person’- a member of staff who is the special person who will build a strong bond with you and your child. Our aim is to ensure every child at our nursery is happy and thoroughly enjoys their time with us.
