Hi, I'm Ruth, nice to meet you! I am a Freelance Graphic Designer from York, UK.

I am a Freelance Creative Professional with a good work ethic, proficient in prioritising and completing various tasks in a timely manner.

Some people prefer to use Freelance artists these days over larger companies due to the significant slash in the cost. I think it is a more intimate experience, with less overheads and less overall costs than using a big agency.

MY APPROACH:
Firstly, to connect with each individual client and figure out exactly what it is they require (this is always exciting!),then to do extensive research into other similar brands, target audiences, competitors and trends within the current market. After that I get my head around exactly what the brand is about and lastly, experience the enjoyable process from brief to finished design. I have a huge thought process , drawing and creating various adaptations of each idea, producing extensive ranges of concepts. I particularly enjoy this part! - so if you haven't got clue where to start... I'm your designer!

My designs, I feel, are mostly striking, bold and bright. I love anything that is energetic, unique, lively and colourful, anything that's a bit different. I try to stay away from the norm and try to create eyecatching, clever designs.

I have developed my own personal artistic style both in Graphic Design and Illustration/ Typography and enjoy working with positive/ negative space. I take in and find inspiration in almost everything. Colour, shape, culture, typography, graffiti and natural beauty, to name a few.

I am a well travelled, live life to the full kind of person, with a keen eye for detail in anything art and design and have an ever growing passion for Graphic Design. And I LOVE COLOUR. Everything about it, and find myself constantly experimenting.
