This 17th century country hotel is situated in its own grounds within a few minutes walk of the River Esk in the village of Ruswarp. It is an ideal centre for fishing, boating, walking, horse-riding, golf or just quiet relaxation. The historic fishing village of Whitby, with its magnificent beach, safe bathing and varied holiday pastimes, is only a mile and a half away. Just inland is the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors National Park, the perimeter of which is easily accessible from a network of major roads.

Guests enjoy the light, airy feel to the bedrooms with their large stone mullioned windows, typical craftsmanship from the Jacobean Era.
The rooms are all of a good size some being very spacious & ideal for the longer stay. Accommodation comprises of single, double, family and a new family suite of rooms.

Ruswarp Hall has a spacious dining room, bar and residents garden room which leads out into the large garden with wooden furniture. After a busy day sightseeing in Whitby and along the coast or perhaps a days walking in the national park guests enjoy the timeless and recouperative quality back at the Hall. The car park is situated at the front of the Hotel.

During the past 18 months we are finding that Ruswarp Hall is proving to be popular with various groups - from walkers, artists, a geology group, to musicians and students studying the classics.The large dining area with useful extension, bar, garden room and garden provide a spacious and relaxed atmosphere in which to socialise, unwind or study. Weddings, small conferences and functions for up to 50 people can be catered for.
