Rowanlea Lodge is in an idyllic rural setting just outside the village of Marykirk, Aberdeenshire.
The village has a popular local pub which serves excellent food with a friendly atmosphere. The pub has a superb cosy wood burner and the restaurant a lovely open fire.
The River Esk is a short walk from the lodge which is famous for its salmon and trout fishing.
There are various places of interest to visit within 25 miles, there is a choice of Glamis, Crathes and Dunnotar castle, also the famous Balmoral castle a little further away.
Glenshee Ski & Snowboard Centre and the Lecht Ski Centre are approximatley 50 miles from the Lodge.
There are many routes for walks and cyclists close by.
Montrose Basin Wildlife Centre is a local nature reserve home to over 50,000 migratory birds for those interested.
There is plenty wild life on our doorstep, deer, squirrels and many birds.
This is a perfect getaway for a relaxing break in the countryside with fantastic views across the Cairn O Mount.
This high quality Lodge has been built from Scottish Douglas Fir trees and has a Scottish theme throughout which will provide a unique Log Cabin experience.
This self catering accommodation has been decorated and furnished to a high standard comprising of one downstairs double bedroom, an open plan living room/kitchen, a shower room and an upstairs open plan bedroom and sitting area that sleeps four. All rooms are heated and the main living area has a log burner.
Well behaved pets are welcome.
