Rosemount Hotel Buckie

Originally named “Rock House” it was predominantly used as a Doctor’s Surgery and residence.

In 1969 there is reference to “extensive alterations” whilst under the ownership of the Shipwrecked Fishermen and Mariners Royal Benevolent Society for the purpose of providing board and lodging accommodation for “lonely old people at a modest cost”

In the early 1970′s, the house, having returned to being a private dwelling, was renamed as “Rosemount” whilst under the ownership of a local Skipper, Gordon McKay after his vessel of the same name which was built in the local ship yard (Port Registration: BCK 277)

The Rosemount of today has been operating as a Guesthouse for well over twenty years and we can currently offer eight rooms, some of which have en-suite facilities. Our hearty breakfasts are cooked fresh to order using local produce, including vegetarian options, wherever possible and we can also offer packed lunches and evening meals if booked in advance.

Our eight bedrooms are currently configured as follows:


First Floor – 1 x double, en-suite room / 1 x twin, en-suite room / 1 x twin room with private bathroom on landing / 1 x superior double en-suite

Second Floor – 1 x family room (1 double and 1 single bed) with shared bathroom / 1 x twin room with shared bathroom / 2 x single rooms with shared bathroom

All of our rooms have flat screen TV’s with freeview
