Rocky Mountain View, Camusluinie

Rocky Mountain View is set around a small croft in the beautiful, remote Glen Elchaig in Kintail, Wester Ross, opposite the Isle of Skyle. Although we are in a remote area surrounded by mountains, you can easily reconnect to the main tourist route via a 15 minute drive.

Rocky Mountain View is a cottage built with your comfort in mind. It is warm and cosy with an environmentally friendly ground-source heat pump serving the underfloor heating.

The cottage sleeps up to 6 people and is available for weekly lets (change-over on Saturdays). Short lets may be available during the low season.

There are plenty of great walks straight out the front door and as the cottage is next to a working croft, please do say hi to the sheep, piglets, ducks and hens when you cross paths with them! Located on the Cape Wrath Trail – Shiel Bridge to Strathcarron section – we are an ideal base from which to tour the North West coast for walking, Munro bagging, bird watching or wildlife spotting. We are also possibly the nearest accommodation to the majestic Falls of Glomach (which is Britain’s highest) but if you want to see this hidden wonder you must be prepared both physically and mentally for a five hour hike, a great challenge!
