'Rockbox' is a full line Rock and Roll store,which was established in the market town of Northallerton in North Yorkshire in 1995, serving musicians across the north- east and beyond.
'Rockbox' relocated to its much larger, current premises in the former snooker hall, in 2004.

"Rockbox" caters for musicians of all abilities, stocking a massive range of products from many leading brand names and independents.

We carry an extensive range of electric guitars and basses. Brands stocked includes Fender, Godin, G&L, Gretsch, Jackson, Dean, ESP,
Hofner, Aria, and many more.

We carry amplification from headphone amps to full-on live stage rigs. Brands include Blackstar, Fender, Marshall, Vox, Line 6, Peavey

We have a super range of acoustic and electro-acoustic guitars from makers including Martin, Simon & Patrick, Larivee, Faith, Freshman, K.Yairi, Seagul, Washburn, Tanglewood, and more. Dedicated acoustic amplification from AER, Fishman, Fender, and Freshman are all in stock. A massive range of all associated accessories for all types of fretted instruments are always in stock.

Due to recent increased interest in Folk music our banjo, mandolin and ukelele stock has been extended further.

For drummers we stock drumkits from Pearl, Mapex, Sonix, Premier and more, and a whole wall dedicated to cymbals from Sabian To Stagg which customers can try out. We also stock percussion spares and accessories.

If sound engineering is your thing we stock PA's of all sizes with brands from Peavey, Yamaha, Tascam and more.

A full repair service is available in house carried out by knowledgeable repairers with years of experience.

A comprehensive range of tutor books and song books are available downstairs in our sister shop GREENSLEEVES MUSIC.

All in all, ROCKBOX is a complete music store for all musicians new or old, offering a massive range of products and very qualified advice from experienced staff, who will help you make the right choice in a relaxed and friendly environment.
