More about Redbrick Barn

Don,t be misled, this is not your normal site, in fact what you will be staying on is our garden and is maintained that way. By no means is this your average farmers field.

The Red Brick Barn project is and attempt to live with as little reliability on others as possible. We grow our own vegetables whilst learning how much we need to survive the year and what type can be kept and how. We also have pigs from time to time which we fatten and have butchered into bacon, sausages, chops joints etc. Then there are the chickens who sometimes lay eggs and sometimes not. We sell some of the produce on to counter the cost of the feed in an attempt to break even.

Allowing caravans and camping on the lawn field is another phase of the project, which hopefully will inspire clients to return home and dabble in something similar, every little helps. In addition it is hoped that our clients will explore our locality and support other local businesses which contribute to the pleasant village atmosphere which is Birtsmorton.

There are so many things to see and do around here we really must consider ourselves very lucky. There are largescale events at the Three Counties Showground, such as the Spring and Autumn shows, Eastnor have outside musical events and are host to the uk best firework display competition (a must) then there is Upton which hosts many live music festivals throughout the year including Jazz, Folk and Blues festivals many of which are free and have venues dotted around the village.

A number of top quality local pubs need your support and I dont know one that will be complacent about your visit, good quality local beers and wines are available as well as a variety of menu styles for every budget and taste.

We have the Three Choirs Vineyard with its tours a tasting sessions for those who like to try before they buy and local micro breweries. the Malvern spring water company can also supply pure and tasty mineral water.

For the sporty types, the low lands of the Malverns are ideal for cycling , walking and running, if you are more adventurous you could of course run or cycle the 'Malverns'.

If you have a specific interest please call and we shall research the opportunities for you to partake locally on your behalf then let you know before you stay.
