5 Days 6 Lives 1 Story
During Real Lives we will hear the stories of 6 people whose lives have been radically transformed. All Lives are very different yet all 6 share the same story of being lost and found.
Jesus told the story of a Shepard who had 100 sheep. One went missing so he left the other 99 to search for the missing sheep. When he found it, he laid it on his shoulders, and brought it home with rejoicing.
The story is meant to show us that Jesus is the Shepard and we are the lost sheep. It’s God’s way of saying that you are unique, you are precious and that Jesus loves and cares for you. But it also points out that you are lost without Jesus and unless he rescues you it is impossible to get home to safety.
For each of the 6 people sharing their story at Real Lives they have all gone through the same experience. They realized that they were lost and far away from God. They cried out to Jesus for help and forgiveness for walking their own way. Jesus heard their cry, found them, rescued them from darkness and danger, put them on his shoulders and carried them back home into God’s family with rejoicing.
