Reading Beer and Cider Festival started life in 1994 as an indoor event at the Trade Union Club in Chatham Street, Reading. In 1995 due to issues with the venue no festival was staged. The event returned in 1996 as an outdoor event at the present location of King's Meadow. Since then the festival has become one of the largest beer festivals in the UK. Our beer and cider ranges exceeds that of many other large beer festivals in the country.
In 2013 we were proud to serve over 550 different varieties of real ale and over 200 different cider and perries. In addition we also showcased a large selection of foreign beer from Europe and the United States. Great British produced fruit Wines and Ports were also represented at our wine bar.
The festival is also proud to present a large number of local music acts on Friday and Saturday's to add an additional element to the fun atmosphere.
Other attractions include festival games, various stalls, a good range of food outlets and a family orientated day on Sunday with a range of family orientated entertainment.
We look forward to welcoming you to our 2016 event.
