A few years ago there were increased reports of rates appeals scams being made across the country, where in exchange for large upfront fees business were told they would be able to reduce their business rates via appeal.

After having a bad experience with these companies, one of the original founders of Rate Save UK began to research into alternative ways to reduce his own rates. (Without having the risk of any up front payments.)

After many phone calls to/from his local authority and hours of research, he developed an in depth understanding of the legislation and wide range of support that can be made available to businesses throughout the country.
