There are many reasons why students choose to have private tuition. Some struggle to keep up in a large class, and just need extra time to go over their lesson materials, especially when examinations are looming. Others are keen to boost their grades to A/A* level in order to secure university places or improve their employment prospects.
You will find that one-to-one tutoring is different from being taught as part of a large class. For one thing, the lesson moves at the student's own pace. If you are aiming to achieve a high grade in an exam, we can cover material quickly, and in greater depth than might be covered in class. Equally, you may need a tutor who can go over a tricky topic at a slower pace to ensure you understand it.
Either way, one-to-one tuition could be beneficial for you. I accept students of all ability levels, whether you just want a few hours of revision lessons before an exam, or a regular weekly slot.
You may wish to study for an extra GCSE or A level alongside your current courses or job. Some students use a private tutor to help them gain an extra AS level to increase their UCAS points, for example. I can provide written and electronic resources to suit a range of courses and examination boards.
Lessons usually take place via Skype with Google Docs for assignment support.
