Priory Park was awarded £2.6 million of Heritage Lottery Funding in 2011 to renovate and restore the park.

Priory Park takes it's name from St James's Priory, a 12th century Cluniac Priory which exists today as ruins, in the south end of the park.The park was officially opened in 1932 as a part of the Priory Estate.

Priory Park covers 8 ha just outside Dudley town centre.

Current facilities include:
Pavilion building including toilet facilities
4 tennis courts
Multi use games area inc. basketball, cricket, football
Children's play area
5-a-side pitch
Bowling green
Lily pond
Herb garden
Rose garden

Restoration work was completed in 2012 to include:

Renovated Pavilion - including toilets and a classroom
Priory Ruins - improvement and restoration
Various art works
Re-laying of paths
Creation of 5-a-side football pitch
Original shelter re-roofed and a landscaped rock garden added
New benches, bins and interpretation signs
New trees and shrub beds.
Restoration of the Bowling Green
Increased volunteer opportunities, events and activities
