Principle One is the trading name used by myself since November 2001. This is my UK self employed status registered with HMRC.
I provide action driven qualitative social methods for clients across Wales & the South West of England delivering fact to establish demand for provision. My research is both micro and macro incorporating research skills proven and investigative by operation and nature. I wish to establish fact to enable need in area of concern.

Having become disillusioned within my role as a Development Worker working for a South West based disability charity and there by coming into contact with many other voluntary sector and governmental agencies. At that time there appeared a complete separation between fact and assumption which affected many group’s ambitions to function. Social research for many was seen as an add on but not the central driver facilitating each organisations needs and development. Many great projects simply fell by the sidelines and hence their value was then undermined by funding hoops as particular needs were not being proved.

Since 2001 I have sought to re address these limiting factors by providing systematic qualitative research means for communities, business and individuals by backing up funding approaches that establishes fact as the proven driver.

I am a Professional Social Researcher using only developed reflexive scientific methods that establish determined research findings. I am an action lead researcher who use's un loaded and un biased methods for the client. I am a qualified researcher having been trained over fours years at both the University of Plymouth & University College of St Mark & St John with an award by the University of Exeter. My work is ongoing.

I charge by a sliding scale hourly rate & work by retainer , expenses and invoice main costs in a three part payment system.
With some organisations, bodies and individuals I can seek funding to facilitate outside research mean but I prefer to work with self funded bodies who have considered the real value that social research brings to a project.
