Poumi Stamp Studio

Stationery and cats. Poumi sprang from my love of stationery, it is also named after one of the many cats I had growing up. (We had 13 at once one time.)

Drawing, photographing and designing has always been a part of my life. We were always doing something arty or crafty as children and I thank my parents for that. My dad is a Scottish artist and my mum also enjoyed painting and brought her German heritage to the table. They surrounded my sister and I with art, books and culture and it definitely rubbed off on both of us.

Being a lover of stationery I enjoyed using rubber stamps and eventually came to the idea of designing my own. Traditional stamps with wooden handles is what I wanted and it took me a long time to find someone who made them the way I liked! Having others making the stamps gives me the time to focus on my designs, give good customer service and look after my family!

I live fifteen minutes from St Andrews in Fife, Scotland with my husband, young son and cat (of course!) This part of the country is so beautiful and it's no wonder there are artists, designers, galleries and book shops aplenty!
