Built in 1761, the historic Guildhall in the heart of Poole's Old Town is the home of the Borough of Poole's Registration Services and provides a charming venue for ceremonies.
The resplendent Grade II* Listed Building has a wealth of history attached to it. In the past it has had many uses, including being used as a Magistrates Court, temporary Parish Church, a canteen and meeting room for American soldiers during the Second World War, a teaching room, as well as the town museum.
The Guildhall looks stunning and is the perfect venue for your ceremony. Its main features comprise large ceremony, which can accommodate up to 120 guests.
Two other rooms are available - the Robing Room, which seats 14 persons (including parties to marriage) is an intimate room for smaller ceremonies, in the same historic appearance as the Guildhall.
The third room is the Register Office, situated on the ground floor and is available for parties to marriage or civil partnership with room for only 2 witnesses. This is more suited to couples who wish to have a minimum legal ceremony.
