Our professionals at Playing-It-Out have over 30 years of experience in working creatively with vulnerable children and families. We are a highly dedicated and specialised team with professionals based in the fields of health, education, psycholgy and psychotherapy.

Our support includes; non-directive, child-centered play therapy; filial therapy; therapeutic group work; practical solutions and advice for positive behaviour management at home and school; child/staff mentoring; tutoring from KS1-KS3; well-being workshops; attendence to professional meetings around the child; professional consultations and advice in schools, children's centres, nurseries and social care settings; a wide variety of training and coaching.

PLAY THERAPY!

Playing-It-Out is dedicated to creating a safe, caring and accepting, environment for children and young people to explore issues or worries that may be troubling them and to access the specialised support they need to overcome such challenges.

Play Therapy is a way of helping children express their feelings and deal with their emotional problems, using play as the main communication tool. Play Therapy helps children in a variety of ways. Children receive emotional support and can learn to understand more about their own feelings and thoughts. Sometimes they may re-enact or play out traumatic or difficult life experiences in order to make sense of their past and cope better with their future. Children may also learn to manage relationships and conflicts in more appropriate ways. (BAPT 2015)
