Olives Attic brings a mix of quirky vintage style and functional design, with a focus on recycling and upcycling for Eco Friendly Weddings and parties.
Everything we offer is lovingly restored and handcrafted and can be personalised to you and your day to tell your story.
We offer many hamper packages for baby showers, hen parties, romantic picnics and proposal dinners.
We can cater for Christenings, Funerals and Christmas Parties.
We also can also provide pop up Tea rooms in your care setting, providing a meaningful enjoyable activity for residents. I have 17 years experience in a care setting 11 of which as a fully qualified Nurse and I have a full current DBS.
We also run pop up Vintage Tea rooms and china hire, offering a variety of pretty china and delicious homemade cakes and vintage tea catering, tailored to your specific requirements of your event.
Here’s a little bit about Olive’s Attic on how it started and where we are going next. We are so much more than making cake!
Olives Attic’s name is in homage to my late Nana Olive (silly Nana) who was always creative recycling items with quirky artistic flair. Anything and everything were fair game and you never knew what you were going to receive at Christmas. Apparently I’m a lot like her.
Olive’s Attic the business by design has come from similar humble beginnings. With no investment funds the business started with upcycling every day materials, painting and selling jars, trading cakes for resources, sanding logs, making cake stands & painting furniture acquired from Freecycle. All the proceeds from which went into buying china, vintage cutlery and tablecloths to furnish our Pop up Tea rooms and Vintage catering service.
The profits from this era of Olive’s Attic will be put towards the next venture of the business which plans to start a project that will give people with a learning disability the opportunity to gain basic food hygiene and catering skills which will allow them to pursue paid employment in the community.
With our project workforce in training we plan to take Olive’s Attics Pop up Vintage Tea Rooms to Elderly Care homes and community projects. The memorabilia and other decorations will help to trigger memories and create a relaxing and reassuring environment for the residents some of whom may have dementia.
