Northampton Maths and Economics Tutorials (NMET) dates back to 2010, when we started a student centred tutorial service providing additional support to students in accounting, business studies, economics and maths for KS 2, 3, 4 & 5.

Over the last 5 years the journey has been progressive as we have built a commendable reputation in and around Northampton and most of our existing students have come through recommendation from our previous students. We have also found that a healthy percentage of our current students are siblings, friends and classmates of our existing and past students. As you can see from our testimonials that we have been busy making a positive difference to our students grades, knowledge and confidence.
Our Achievements
• We have been busy developing our very own learning resources and now have our own workbooks that are both student friendly and provide structure to our tutorial sessions.
• As a forward thinking business in 2012 we moved into a purpose built tutorial studio that is equipped with state of the art facilities i.e. colour laser printer (duplex), optical internet connection, whiteboard, projector , computer facilities, WIFI and other resources.
• In 2014, we offered our very own exam revision class in economics which was extremely successful as all the students went on to make a positive difference to their predicted grades from school. This has now become a permanent feature of our offerings.
• Our own online educational channel: we have been busy developing videos in economics and also will be doing the same in other subjects. Our students have found the videos very helpful as when we are not there to help they can watch videos and it allows them to learn at their own pace i.e. stop, pause, rewind as they like to whilst doing their work. The channel has already had more than 10,000 hits.
• A fully functional website: we now have a fully functional website with a virtual learning platform to aid our tutees in their learning.
• In 2014, we partnered with FootballCV academy to deliver A – level business studies to would be footballers at their campus in Corby.

Going forward we would like to
• To associate with like minded educational professionals so as to develop the academic provision we offer.
• We intend to offer a broad flexible curriculum in GCSEs and A – Levels to meet the needs of both national and international students in the near future.
• To develop into a pioneering independent tutorial college in Northamptonshire.
• To partner with other educational providers to provide quality services to students.
