More about Newbold College of Higher Education

Newbold College is a student-centred, inclusive and innovative college of higher education operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The College adheres to our founders’ initial objective to 'lead students to learn how to think, and to teach them how to learn anything for themselves'. Our campus is situated amongst rolling fields and wooded meadows about 40 miles west of London in Binfield which lies about two miles from the towns of Bracknell and Wokingham.

Newbold College is accredited by the British Accreditation Council and Accreditation UK. Through its partnerships with universities in the United Kingdom, Germany and the United States, the College offers undergraduate programmes in Business Management, in Business Studies and in Theology, as well as postgraduate and research programmes in Theology.

We also offer a range of Study Abroad options which include the Gap Year, the University Year in England, and the Adventist Colleges Abroad programme. The latter is popular with North American students wanting to pursue studies with a British Heritage emphasis for one or two semesters, while continuing to earn credits towards their US-based college or university programmes. Study Abroad modules are selected from disciplines such as Business Studies, English Literature, History, Media Studies, Music, Psychology, and Religious Studies.

The College also offers a popular English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) programme.

Newbold College is a member of the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC), an association of over 600 small and mid-sized private liberal arts colleges and universities. The College is also an international affiliate of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU), an association of intentionally Christian colleges and universities with 116 member campuses in the US and 69 affiliate campuses located in 25 countries outside the United States.
