Osteopathy is a primary healthcare system of diagnosis and treatment. The main principles of osteopathy focus on maintaining and restoring the structural and functional integrity of the body and working with the body's own self healing mechanisms.
Osteopaths are manual therapists who use a wide range of techniques to improve tissue function and health.
Your first appointment at the clinic will include a full consultation and medical case history prior to a detailed examination. You will be asked to undress down to your underwear (or shorts if you prefer) for the physical assessment and examination.
Initial consultations may last up to 1.5 hours and follow on appointments are a maximum of 45 minutes.
Following a thorough examination a diagnosis and personalised treatment plan will be identified and discussed with you.
Please bring with you to your appointment a list of any medications you are taking.
