We are Britain’s most north westerly local authority museum & archive service covering the islands of the Outer Hebrides from Barra in the South to Lewis in the North.
Established in 1983 we operate from two centres, Museum nan Eilean at Lews Castle, Stornoway and Sgoil Lionacleit on the island of Benbecula. We also works closely with the Comainn Eachdraidh, the distinctive and individual historical societies of the islands.
This is our new combined facebook page. . . we've created this page so that we can share news, stories and photos with you. This page will keep you up to date with exhibitions and events, what's happening behind the scenes and will show you the projects we are working on.
