Our fleet of 21 vehicles, range from 7.5 ton to 12 ton. ranging from 6 to 8m Flatbeds, Box & Curtain Siders with tail lifts, All of which are MAN trucks, which in our experience seem to be excellent.

All of our work is carried out with the customers needs in mind, we always ensure that all of our work is carried out with the up most professionalism and to the highest standards as we pride ourselves on keeping our customers happy and delivering their requirements. Being family run, we have a personal touch to all our work carried out to ensure that reliability is prominent. And the job arrives safely and on time.

We also have a storage facility and very secure yard all of which are monitored by 24 hour recorded CCTV, So can accommodate storage for customer that have that request'

A brief history

J Munson Ltd was formed in 1993 by Jim Munson, He started with a Volkswagon LT35, 3.5ton pick up, doing local deliveries for a handful of customers, he worked all hours to keep customers happy, and to make a name for his self in the area.

He then needed something bigger, so bought his first MAN 7.5 ton flatbed, This proved to handle most loads from these customers, This attracted more custom, So had to employ another driver. We then sourced a yard for an operator center. This was adequate for the next few years , But steady growth of customer base meant that in 1997 we had to move to bigger premises. Which we still occupy today.

Now employing a brilliant array of drivers that are very careful and take pride in their work with us. Jim is now taking a back seat after nearly 20 years and James is now the Transport Manager, Has been gaining well needed experience from his father for the last 10 years and has worked along side him in the office for the last 4-5 years after a long stint out on the road, to learn the nature of the job.
