MumBall

We hope that MumBall can achieve 3 things:

Encourage more women to play football – We found that women who have never played football or only have limited experience of it may find it hard to join a team and learn how to play. Especially if that team already has experienced players. By playing with others who have little or no playing history, we want to provide an environment free of embarrassment and pressure. We want women to feel happy and relaxed so they can really get the most from the game.

Provide an effective workout for women – Thanks to the faced paced, stop-start nature of the 5aside football, playing provides a workout similar to that of high intensity interval training. However, playing a game serves as a good distraction so you might not even notice how hard you’re working!

Allow Mums to have something just for them – We know that keeping little ones happy all day can take its toll and for us, football played a vital role in de-stressing and releasing some of the tension. For just a few hours a week we were able to lose ourselves in the game and forget the chaos at home. It also meant that we could spend time with friends as well as make new ones.

Although created with mums in mind, it’s not exclusive. Any woman with little or no experience is more than welcome to join us, as long as you don’t mind a bit of mum chatter!
