Mortgage Advice Bureau - Basingstoke

Town Centre Mortgages, based on Winchester Street in Basingstoke, was established in 2003 by Paul Smith. Having grown a successful mortgage and protection business over the last 14 years, Paul has now made the decision to rebrand to Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB).
Town Centre Mortgage has been part of the MAB network for a number of years, as one of the UK’s leading mortgage networks, MAB has over 950 advisers, offering expert mortgage and protection advice both face to face and over the phone.

The move to rebrand to MAB also marks the opening of high street premises at 2a Church Street in Basingstoke providing customers with a welcoming and friendly space from which Paul and his team will be able to offer the local community with expert advice.

An official launch event will be taking place on Monday 8th May, including fundraising activities on the day to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Care and representatives for the charity attending to officially open the new premises.

Paul believes MAB will be able to support his ambitions for the coming months and years and will enable him to provide customer with access to over 11,000 products from more than 90 lenders.

Paul explains: “After starting my career as an estate agent almost 30 years ago, I went on to qualify as a mortgage broker in 1999, working locally for a national company until, in 2003, I opened Town Centre Mortgages. Working and living in the local community gave me an ideal opportunity to offer expert mortgage advice in the Basingstoke and surrounding areas and I’ve been able to grow the business to what it’s become today.
When the opportunity arose earlier this year to take on the premises on Church Street, it provided the chance I’d been looking for to open a high street mortgage shop here in Basingstoke, and it made sense to undergo the rebrand at the same time.”
