Montacute School

We are a school for children and young people with complex learning disabilities. Some of our children are on the Autistic Spectrum. Many have additional needs including a sensory impairment, physical difficulty or medical needs.

Situated in Canford Heath, Poole we serve a catchment area across Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset. We are very ambitious for our children and young people: a rigorous educational programme aims for the highest possible academic and social attainment, optimum physical well being and independence for each pupil.

The Need - "Monty's Appeal Project"

Montacute succeeded in its bid to the Priority School Building Programme and we received state funds to build a lovely new school building which we moved in to two years ago. However the funding did not include any financial support for indoor and outdoor facilities or equipment. This will require over £500,000. A range of fund raising is being planned under the banner of "Monty's Appeal".
