Mini Eiggs

Funtastic!
Mini Eiggs Kids Club is delighted to be coming to the beautiful Isle of Eigg this summer offering fun and exciting indoors and outdoors activities for children aged 4-12 years. Weekly timetables will include arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, treasure hunts, orienteering, beach fun days, musical games, drama and performances.

Safety First!
As well as being a qualified primary teacher and a specialist music teacher, Mini Eigg leader Nan is a PVG Scheme Member, which means she has been given clearance by Disclosure Scotland to work with young people and children. She has also completed a Red Cross paediatric first aid course so you can rest assured that your little ones are in safe hands.

A Play in A Day!
One of the weekly activities that Mini Eiggs offers is our very special 'Play in A Day'. Children will rehearse, learn and perform a 15-minute musical theatre piece in one day. Working from 1pm - 7pm (with breaks for snacks and dinner) the children will sing, act, dance and play all day, culminating in a performance for parents and friends in the evening. Children will learn new skills, make new friends and have lots of fun.

Beach Fun Day!
Every week (weather dependent) there will be a Beach Fun Day - with sandcastle competitions, tug of war, beach volleyball and more, this is a day of fun not to be missed!

Musical Games!
Nan is a specialist music teacher trained in the Kodály approach to music education with five years of teaching experience under her belt. Children will learn all the elements of music through playing and singing of musical games and songs. As well as being great fun and fantastic for social interaction and engagement, children will learn essential musical skills to take back with them from their holiday on Eigg.

Nature Art!
Kids love to play outside and to explore nature so as much as possible Mini Eiggs will use the beautiful island to inspire and to help children create masterpieces. Nature walks to collect materials, beach art and forest foraging are all to be expected.

Eigg Adventurists!
Each week there will be an opportunity to explore the beautiful and fascinating island of Eigg. Throughout the summer there will be treasure hunts, scavenger hunts, woodland walks, rock pool dipping, orienteering and teddy bear picnics in the woods.
