I graduated with a masters degree in Chemistry from the University of Nottingham in 2013 and am currently approaching the finishing line on a masters degree in law.
I have always loved both maths and science; this enthusiasm was given to me by some of the best teachers I could have hoped for. My passion for the these subjects comes through in my teaching, as I genuinely wish to inspire students to achieve the best grades that they possibly can and to hopefully take on further study in the fields.
I am an experienced learner and know what it takes to achieve goals which any student sets for themselves. During my first masters, I was the President of the hall student body, I have completed multiple years of research and also took part in the 'Parent' scheme at UoN to tutor students in first year who were finding university life a challenge.
I am familiar with the area's major examination boards (AQA, OCR & EdExcel). In the past I have tutored students across the ability range, including the most able GCSE and A Level students.
I firmly believe that everyone, regardless of background or ability, can benefit from one-to-one tuition.
I take a very individual approach to tutoring, adapting approaches and resources to fit the needs of the individual. Prior to commencing tuition we will agree tuition goals and I will work with these to develop a personalised scheme of learning. I will monitor student progress throughout the year and continually adapt it to meet the developing needs of the learner.
However, most importantly of all, I believe the highest level of academic achievement comes from a fun and relaxed environment. I am friendly and approachable and I work hard to ensure students enjoy having tuition, which ultimately will maximise the progress they make.
