Just paces from the water and a small beach on the edge of the Falmouth Estuary, Martha's Cottage offers spacious and flexible accommodation for families. The cottage sits on the approach to the village and a two minute walk will bring you to the pretty harbour lined with impressive former Captains houses.

A thriving village, Flushing has good local facilities including a convenience store, two pubs and a waterside restaurant. With a friendly atmosphere and a strong local community, the village is famous for its Regatta Week in July and annual arts festival in May.

Relax in the sun on the pretty sandy beach at the far side of the village or follow our advice and walk along the coastal path to nearby Mylor and you will be rewarded with fabulous views of the Carrick Roads and Falmouth Docks along the way. Hopping across the water to Falmouth could hardly be easier with a regular passenger ferry plus a water taxi service. Here art galleries, boutique shops and café culture are the order of the day but there are also sandy beaches, parks and the National Maritime Museum to keep you entertained.

Ferries also run to St Mawes, Mylor, Trelissick and Truro but be sure to check the return times as it can be a long taxi journey home if you miss the last one. Martha's Cottage is perfect for families with ample space for relaxing, eating and sleeping. The ground floor has two comfortable reception rooms plus a central kitchen and the first floor offers flexibility in the sleeping arrangements with two doubles, a twin and a single. The enclosed rear garden is arranged on differing levels with a westerly facing terrace providing the perfect spot for barbecues.
