The Cricket Club is situated in the beautiful village of Bray, Berkshire, on the banks of the Thames, overlooked by the Church of St Michael. The main ground is widely acknowledged as one of the most picturesque in the country.
The roll of honour:
Brett van Niekerk - 1st Team Captain
Designated slipper. Strong in the V. Fancies himself as an opening bowler, yet to convince others...yet.
Tom Wilding - 2nd Team Captain
Expert tea eater, questionable bowling ability, best cut shot in the club, worst pull shot in the club, self-proclaimed best 2nd slip in Div 5
.
Tom Allen - 3rd Team Captain
Specialist pie-chucker, specialist number 11. Will always try to sweep the straight ball. Happy to captain as guaranteed an over or 20.
Ben Ward - 4th Team captain
Stepped up to lead the 4th XI in their first season in the TVCL. Looking to develop the future 1st XI.
Matt Armstrong - Sunday XI Captain
Club legend, has taken 1,934,423,119 club wickets all from the road end. Has a grunt loud enough to resemble Monica Seles in her pomp. Best fielder at the club (once upon a time). New boots for 2016 turned him into a wicket-machine once again.
Charlie Jacobsen - webmaster/groundsman/father christmas
Former 2nd XI skipper and angry fast bowler. Elderly statesman of the club, who somehow finds a pitch on the jubilee ground for the 3s and 4s and continues to make the main ground look fantastic.
