Maiden Marine was established in Spring 1997 on the shores of Lake Windermere, right in the heart of the beautiful Lake District. The Company was formed with the intention of providing a complete service to all Yacht owners.

Thus far Maiden has succeeded beyond our wildest expectations and in 2004, we moved into fabulous new premises at Ferry Nab, beside the Bowness Car Ferry. Which provide the facilities to service the large customer base we have now established. We have Lake front access and a cranage area to work on New and Used Craft, in addition to Jetty Berths for our customers and a huge Chandlery Shop stocking a full range of Sailing Clothing, Spares & Marine Equipment.

We are Main Dealers for Beneteau in the North of England. This hugely successful product has provided us with a Yacht Dealership second to none. Over the years there have been over 200 new Beneteau arriving in the Lakes, with additional larger models going to various coastal locations. We have dealt with everything from the super fun Beneteau First 21 through to the luxurious Beneteau Oceanis 46 and all the sizes in between.

In addition to the New Boat Sales, we also have a very active second hand Brokerage Service. Having listed well over 900 boats since we started, we have seen a huge variety of craft through the system. We are members of YachtWorld.com (The world’s largest database of brokerage yachts) and our own website is linked to the huge internet search engines, which help us to reach potential buyers and sellers.

We also operate a comprehensive Yard Service from our base in Burneside which works closely with our Lake side cranage and workshop facilities to provide – Launching, Rigging, Commissioning, GRP Repairs & Maintenance, Antifouling, Engineering Services, Spray Painting & Winter Storage.

We became agents for North Sails in September 2003 and although we are not building any sails here on site, we do provide service, repairs and valeting on all sails and can undertake all types of canvas, canopy, cover & upholstery work.

We have always striven to provide a ONE – STOP SHOP for all boating requirements. In addition to being agents for Yamaha Outboards, Plastimo & Wetline Inflatables, Ribeye Tenders and Tehri Dinghies, we are introducers for Navigators & General Insurance Company, DeNovo Insurance and Bank of Scotland Marine Finance. We can even arrange Beneteau Yacht Charter or Sailing tuition to RYA standards here on the Lake.
