Mafille La Maison

Mafille La Maison (Maffee) is translated to The Home of My Daughter.

The story so far…

The name is a tribute to my grandmother, Lydie, who originated from Lille, Northern France. I was her only granddaughter and she said I was the daughter she never had. Mafille is her maiden name and I named the shop in her honour.

Home is the backdrop to you, it’s a place where memories are made, a place where you create that sense of security, a place you always want to call home.

My grandparents’ home inspired me from a very young age, it was a place that was inviting, comforting and always so welcoming. It had a great smell too, it was a place people always wanted to visit and come over for lunch.

My grandparents’ home was a wonderful home where many memories were made.

When you’re creating your home I feel all of the above needs to be considered, working out what the rooms in your home are going to be used for.

These memories have inspired me to create Mafille La Maison.
