I've been in the industry for 3 coming up 4 years now and I've been coaching since Feb 2015.
I started out as a part time gym instructor. What made me become a coach was not only my love for training and how much I thrive off helping others but I was also promised a promotion to a supervisor role at the gym I worked for and when it came up, another person got chosen over me and then that made feel like I had no other option at the time. I couldn't afford the cost of the course at the time so I bit the bullet and went to do the loan option. Which meant that 2 months following the course I'd be paying back £160 a month for the next 3 years. (so I'd still be paying it back now). Fortunately where I had built my client base before I even started coaching through working at a facility I already had an income from training clients and this meant that I was able to afford the course a day before the loan agreement would have began which meant I didn't have to do the monthly payments.
That's my story of how I became a coach. It showed me that there will be setbacks but there will also be other opportunities to succeed and training with me will be your next opportunity to achieve your goals.
